Assessments are conducted by Dr Zofia Lebiecka. The total cost of the diagnostic process depends on the number of sessions required, which may vary depending on the individual case, the complexity of the assessment, and the client's pace.
Two different paths, one shared set of values - bringing psychological assessment, diagnosis and support together under one roof.
Since 2007, we have been running our psychological practice in the centre of Szczecin, providing professional assessment, diagnosis and psychological support. We aim to create a place where sound expertise, extensive clinical experience and an individual approach to each client form the foundation of everything we do. Please note that English-language services are currently provided exclusively by Dr Zofia Lebiecka. While the practice is jointly run by Dr Zofia Lebiecka and her mother, Irena Lebiecka-Konarska, this section of the website refers specifically to the services offered in English by Dr Zofia Lebiecka.
12+ years of clinical experience · Department of Psychiatry, USK1 PUM in Szczecin · psychological diagnostics of mental disorders and neuropsychological diagnostics.
Dr Zofia Lebiecka is a Clinical Psychologist Specialist, an advanced professional qualification held by a relatively small number of psychologists in Poland. Her specialist training and extensive clinical experience enable her to work with complex and diagnostically challenging cases, particularly where psychological, psychiatric, neurodevelopmental and personality-related factors overlap.
Since 2014, she has been affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry at USK1 PUM in Szczecin. She works on a general psychiatric inpatient ward and in the affiliated Mental Health Outpatient Clinic, gaining extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of adults presenting with a broad range of mental health difficulties. Her clinical practice focuses on the psychological assessment and diagnosis of mental disorders in adults, as well as neuropsychological assessment. She also provides psychological consultations, counselling, psychoeducation and supportive interventions, tailoring the form of help to the individual needs and circumstances of each client.
She is also a psychotherapist in training. At present, however, she is not accepting new psychotherapy clients due to personal circumstances and the need to maintain the continuity and stability of the therapeutic setting.
As a graduate in English Linguistics from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, she is fluent in English and has extensive experience using the language in academic and professional settings. She teaches medical students in English and has also worked on the translation of scientific literature in psychology and psychiatry.
...and our answers.
The length of the assessment depends on its purpose and the complexity of the difficulties presented. Assessments for ADHD, ASD, AuDHD or personality-related difficulties typically involve 2-5 sessions, while a neuropsychological assessment usually takes 1-3 sessions. Once the assessment is complete, a written psychological report is prepared, followed by a consultation to discuss the findings and recommendations.
No. A referral is not required for psychological assessment - simply book a consultation. If you have any previous medical records, psychological reports or test results, it is worth bringing them with you, as they may provide valuable additional information and help inform the assessment process.
In selected cases, yes. Part of the diagnostic process (e.g. the clinical interview or consultations) can be carried out remotely, provided this doesn't affect the reliability of the assessment. Whether part of the diagnostics can be done online is decided by the psychologist after an initial consultation, depending on the purpose of the assessment.
Not necessarily. We work with clients from across Poland and abroad, and where clinically appropriate, parts of the diagnostic process can be conducted online. Any appointments that require an in-person assessment are held at our practice in Szczecin.
No. A thorough psychological assessment is never based on questionnaire results alone. It involves a detailed clinical interview, an assessment of developmental and functional history, clinical observation, and the use of carefully selected, standardised diagnostic tools appropriate to the specific question being assessed.
Yes. Every comprehensive assessment concludes with a written psychological report summarising the assessment process, the interpretation of findings, diagnostic conclusions and recommendations for further steps. The report can be provided to a psychiatrist as part of a further consultation or used to inform subsequent psychological or therapeutic work.
Yes. We specialise in psychological assessment and diagnosis for adults. Many of our clients seek assessment for the first time in their 20s, 30s, 40s or even later in life - often to better understand longstanding difficulties, make sense of their experiences, or revisit and clarify a previous diagnosis.
No. We currently work exclusively with adults, both for diagnostics and psychological support.
Yes. We assist patients who seek to verify or clarify a previous diagnosis, or to gain a deeper understanding of their psychological functioning. We place particular emphasis on differential diagnosis, especially when distinguishing between neurodevelopmental, personality, mood and anxiety disorders, which may present with overlapping symptoms and difficulties.
The process begins with a detailed clinical and developmental interview. Appropriate diagnostic tools are then selected, and the information gathered is integrated with the results of psychological testing. The goal is not only to confirm or rule out ADHD, but also to differentiate it from other conditions that can result in similar difficulties.
Yes. We assess co-occurring ADHD and autism spectrum (AuDHD) in adults. The process includes evaluating neurodevelopmental functioning and differentiating it from other mental and personality conditions.
No. Decisions about medication are made by a psychiatrist. A psychological assessment provides clinically relevant information that can inform further psychiatric consultation and help determine the most appropriate form of treatment or support.
Yes. If you have previous psychological reports, medical records or school reports, it is worth bringing them to your first appointment. However, these documents are not required to begin the assessment.
Yes. No prior referral or psychiatric consultation is required. The process begins with an initial diagnostic consultation, during which we jointly agree the scope of the assessment and the plan for the diagnostic process.
Yes. Once the diagnostic process is complete, the findings are discussed in detail during a follow-up consultation. The results are explained clearly, questions are addressed, and recommendations for the next steps are discussed, including whether further assessment, consultation or treatment may be appropriate.
The first consultation provides an opportunity to discuss the difficulties you are experiencing, your history and previous experiences of seeking help, and to determine together what form of support would be most appropriate.
Sign-ups for psychodynamic psychotherapy are currently taken via a waiting list. We do offer psychological consultations, counselling and psychoeducation without a wait.
The frequency of sessions depends on the type of support provided and on each client's individual needs. A plan is discussed and agreed together during the initial consultation.
No. The purpose of the initial consultations is to understand your needs and jointly determine the most appropriate form of support. Any decision to continue is always yours.
